I recently completed the 3 day Learn to Meditate course with Babs.  As a senior, I was a bit unsure if meditation would be for me. At first I was wary, nervous and slightly uncomfortable, but I needn’t have worried.  Babs is really expert at putting the whole class at ease and creates a warm, safe and friendly learning experience.  Babs teaches a simple meditation technique and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I took to it. The new me now does meditation every day which brings so many benefits. Meditation has taught me to be kind to myself and I also feel more loving and peaceful. Meditation for me is very grounding and rewarding and I find difficult times less stressful.  It helps me stay within the day, yesterday is gone and we don’t know what tomorrow will bring.  A surprising benefit for me was how I had become more in tune with nature and myself during my many Covid19 lockdown walks. Babs runs a free monthly meditation group where we can share and learn from each other’s  experiences.  I always look forward to touching base with kindred souls and we all benefit from the shared experiences and support and of course, we also have some laughs which help along the way.
